What you’re buying

truths is a digital card game for couples, delivered over the web. When you purchase an edition (truths, darker, deeper, or the trilogy) you’re paying for permanent access to the questions in that edition, playable in a browser. There is no physical product, no download, and no installation.

Pricing and currency

Prices shown on the site are displayed in the currency we’ve detected for your country, and payment is taken in that currency at checkout. The price you see at the moment of purchase is the price you pay; no further taxes are added at checkout. Pricing is subject to change.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

truths is digital content supplied without a tangible medium, with access granted immediately on purchase. Consumers in the EU and UK normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. However, for digital content this right is lost once supply has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgment of that loss — see Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83 and the equivalent UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

At checkout you are asked to expressly request immediate access and to acknowledge that you therefore lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once access begins. By ticking that box and completing payment you give that consent. For that reason, once access has begun all sales are final and we do not offer refunds. If something goes technically wrong with your access, email hello@playtruths.com and we’ll sort it.

Your account and access

A truths purchase is tied to the email you bought with. You can access the decks you’ve purchased from any device by signing in with that email. Access is permanent. We don’t time-limit or revoke content you’ve paid for.

Acceptable use

• Don’t share your login with anyone outside your household.
• Don’t scrape, mirror, redistribute, or resell the card content.
• Don’t attempt to circumvent authentication or access editions you haven’t purchased.

Intellectual property

All truths card content, typography, artwork, and code is the intellectual property of truths. You’re buying a licence to play, not a licence to reproduce or distribute the material.

Content warnings

truths contains questions about intimacy, conflict, secrets, and other topics that may be emotionally difficult. darker and deeper go further than the core deck. You’re responsible for choosing when and whether to play, and for deciding what to answer.

Limitation of liability

truths is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about the outcome of any conversation you have while playing. To the fullest extent permitted by law, truths is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email to active customers. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
